Greetings, I am Mrs. Barcus, and I’m so excited to be a Tiny Owl’s teacher! A little bit about me: I grew up here in Vero Beach, moving here from Maryland when I was 7. I started teaching preschool in 2008 while attending college (for nursing) and ended up falling in love with teaching more. I changed my path and earned my Associate’s in Early Childhood Development, and I’m currently working toward my Bachelor’s. I regularly attend workshops and classes through Childcare Resources to gain as much knowledge as I can. I have been married for 5 years and I have 3 children, one of which will be attending Gracie’s Preschool as well!
I am a firm believer in child-led learning, knowing that each child learns and excels at their own pace in their own way. I love learning through play, and I strive to make it as creative as possible (yes, your child could get a bit messy!). I look forward to being part of this school family and meeting all of you!
